Hand Engraved Sterling Silver Frame
This beautiful Baroque revival sterling frame was chosen by a customer to be engraved with her initials. The center medallion was damaged and too thin to be engraved. We soldered a new thicker piece of sterling silver in its place to make it possible to engrave.
Sterling Silver Candelabra Repair
These severely damaged sterling silver candelabra were brought to Chelsea Plating Company for a full restoration. Extensive repairs, cleaning, and polishing will be performed.
Here at Chelsea we do both simple and full porcelain and ceramic restoration. This vase is actually a lamp that broke and is in the process of being fully restored- once finished, you won't be able to tell it ever broke. The next step will be to fill in the cracking, and then hand paint the fills with color matched paints. There are a lot of steps left to get this piece looking like new, but it's looking a lot better than it was.
Brass Bed Restoration
This is a fine example of a typical brass bed we commonly see here at Chelsea Plating Co. Every brass bed brought to us for restoration is completely disassembled, stripped of old lacquer, polished, lacquered, and reassembled.

Antique Bronze Wall Sconce Restoration
This wall sconce was one of the few items to survive hurricane Sandy for a Margate family. We removed decades worth of corrosion, replaced all of the screws with period correct reproductions, then polished/satin finished the sconce. When we were done, we triple lacquered the finish so it could withstand many more years at the beach. Visit www.chelseaplating.com for more information.
